Award winning British botanical artist Anna Mason will lead a 2-day workshop showing you step-by-step how to paint orchids in watercolor so realistic they’ll look like they leap off the paper! Learn how to observe these “jewels of the Rainforest” and then layer paint to create 3D effects and a realistic vibrancy of color. Open to beginners but best suited to those with some prior experience with watercolor. Be sure to view Ms Mason’s work, on exhibit in Selby’s Museum of Botany & the Arts, November 21, 2013 to February 27, 2014.
