7th Annual Selby Instructors’ Summer Showcase Exhibit and Sale

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens offers horticultural classes throughout the year on various plant care and gardening related topics. We also offer fun and diverse classes guaranteed to simulate your creative side. In addition to the prestigious Academy of Botanical Arts which offers a certificate program in Botanical Illustration, additional classes include Beading, Creative Writing, Ikebana (flower arranging), Nature Printing, Paper-making, Photography, Plein Air Painting, Sumi-e Painting, Watercolor Painting, Wreath-making, Yoga and more. The Selby Instructors’ Annual Exhibit and Sale showcases the artwork of our talented instructors, providing a preview of the fun and interesting experiences available weekly at the Gardens.
MEET THE ARTISTS/INSTRUCTORS: Join us at the museum, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on the Saturdays listed below, to visit with one of the instructors and learn more about Selby's unique classes.
July 7, meet Sandy Frick who teaches "Pulp & Print" (paper making and plant printing) and "Nature Impressions in Clay".
July 14, meet Bob Fink who teaches many digital photography classes at the Gardens.
July 21, meet JoAnn Migliore Campisi who will be demonstrating her "Print the Gardens" class (nature printing on paper and fabric).
August 25, meet Carolyn Merenda who teaches beggining to advanced "Water Color Painting".
September 1, meet Olivia Braida who is the founder and master instructor of the Academy of Botanical Art at Selby Gardens.
September 8, meet Karen J. Schunk who teaches "Van Gogh's Sunflowers", and other fun "be an artist" classes.
September 15, meet Alice Sciarrino who teaches a "Stained Glass" class.
September 22, meet Ikebana instructors, Pat Bonarek and Gil Lee, who will be demonstrating Oriental flower arranging.
