Epiphytes & Evolution: Viewing plant adaptation by way of air plants

Wednesday, December 19, 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm – Great Room by the Bay

With his most recently published volume, Air Plants: Epiphytes and Aerial Gardens, Dr. David H. Benzing will share how epiphytes illustrate basic biological principles such as evolutionary mechanisms and patterns. An hour spent with Dr. Benzing is time spent contemplating how nature works. Join us for a lecture, book sale and signing.

David H. Benzing is Professor of Biology Emeritus at Oberlin College and the Jessie B. Cox Chair in Tropical Botany at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
