Presales are available ONLINE or at the Welcome Center.

Enhance your holiday by attending Lights in Bloom - A Sparkling Tropical Holiday Celebration and beloved family tradition, December 16-23 and 26 & 27, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.   The originator of Lights in Bloom, Bob McComb (“Mr. Illuminator”) is bringing new excitement to this glittering holiday event.  We're adding more flowers, real-life faeries, seven-foot wide butterflies, dragonflies, towering 10-foot birds of paradise, and much more.

These giant dragonflies, butterflies, and a red-eyed tree frog will light up the night, as tree men and sugar plum faeries guide your journey.  There will be live music featuring Christmas songs and dance performances nightly (see attached schedule).  Dine under the Banyans featuring grilled entrées, kid’s “Merry Meals,” cinnamon popcorn, beer, wine, and hot chocolate available for purchase.  Don’t miss Santa’s workshop area featuring Santa and his reindeer plus interactive games for kids of all ages.  There will be Hanukkah happenings, Kwanzaa activities, and inside the Kids’Corner will be nightly holiday crafts.  The Gulfcoast Garden Railroaders will  be “all-aboard” with their Garden trains.  These trains are “G”-scale locomotives featuring holiday-themed cars and a miniature village display (train details: www.myggr.org).

In addition, Selby Gardens features “Holiday Splendor at the Payne Mansion.”  This spectacular Holiday Showhouse is open now through January 2, 2012 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm daily and during the evenings of Lights in Bloom.  The Florida West Coast Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has decked the entire first floor with stunning holiday décor.  For more details please visit our website, the ASID website or the ASID Facebook page. “Holiday Splendor” Showhouse is included in the price of admission to the Gardens.

Lights in Bloom is a ticketed event:  $14 for adults and member guests; $12 for members; children 11 and under enter free. Tickets are now available for purchase online.  This is a fundraising special event and the proceeds go to Selby Gardens to further its mission.  Please no passes, coupons, discounts or reciprocals.  There are no refunds or rain checks given.  Tickets purchased in advance can be used for any night.
