11/27/2013, 11/29 - 12/01/2013 (All day); 11/28/2013 (10am-3pm)

The family extravaganza at Selby Gardens will kick off Wednesday, November 27 at 10:00 am and conclude Sunday, December 1 at 4:30 pm.  Festivities will include live musical performances, arts & crafts, rainforest story time, delicious rainforest-themed food available for purchase, and special appearances by rainforest animals all occurring in the one-of-a-kind rainforest setting: the Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden.

The new attraction features an outdoor, elevated rainforest with thatched roof teaching huts, waterfall cascading down a rock face with lush plants, a suspended rope bridge, caves for exploring, adventure trails, and even a research station to inspire curious minds about what they may find in an actual working research center.  Chance the Chimpanzee from Big Cat Habitat will experience the new children’s rainforest for the first time Friday, November 29, 2013 from 11:00am to 12:30 PM.
