The Selby Gardens Herbarium type collection is comprised of approximately 1750 collections (Isotypes and Holotypes). Information presented in the type lists include: Original name and author(s), place of publication, collector(s) and number, kind of type at SEL, and country where type was collected.
A project is currently underway to scan and make available images of all types deposited at SEL. Approximately 90% of the Selby types are available online.
Images were scanned using a Microtek, Scanmaker 9600XL and reduced in size using JPEG compression.
